This is the story of Kafka On the Shore and me. Check out the video for more
I got seven new books in July from various sources. The video below is me gloating about them to glory and I cannot wait to start reading them! I have started Graham Greene's Our Man in Havana but I am also reading Neuromancer by William Gibson with my book club at the moment. So yeah! Lot of reading on my plate right now. Here we go!
How do I say this without offending anyone? Well, I guess there is no other way than to just spit it out and go to the Devil for my sins.
I recently read the wonderful The Bridges of Madison County by Robert James Waller after my English teacher let me borrow it and it affected me profoundly. To know why, watch the video!
I recently borrowed a book of Robert Frost's poems from my teacher and I am here reading out four of them for your pleasure!
The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern is one of the best books I have ever read and more than just a book, it is a memory of a friend I had called K who is no longer with us in this world. In this video I read out the prologue of the book which is aptly titled Anticipation
I am back on YouTube after a technical glitch floored my laptop's microphone.
It is my great pleasure to announce that poetry reading is back on the channel and I've started with my favorite Leonard Cohen poem, Thousand Kisses Deep
I recently took a small vacation and headed off to Delhi to unwind and this is a short video about what books I picked up there! I hope you enjoy it!
This is a brief review of the book/trilogy called Silk and Song by Dana Stabenow. It is a piece of historical fiction and I adored reading it. I have to thank my friends Pious and Rohan for allowing me to be able to read it and I wholeheartedly recommend it.
Deadwing, Porcupine Tree's 8th studio album had its 17th anniversary recently. Here is a very very short review of the album. I have not been well and thus have not been posting much lately, but I' slowly making a comeback
This is just a video about me going gaga over music. I firmly believe that music is that one thing that unifies everyone. A boy in South Korea could be listening to the same song you are listening to right now for exactly the same reasons.
This video is about one of the authors I absolutely adore: Ernest Hemingway. It also details the curious incident of how I came by his books in Blossoms and the incident that happened when I found A Moveable Feast. Something about A Moveable Feast is also the reason this video is titled what it's titled.
This brief video details how I was gifted a copy of Necronomicon: The Best Weird Tales of H.P. Lovecraft by my friend living in Leeds, Anju Lavina. I have also spoken of the artist who drew the bookmark that I use while reading this book (usually at night in pin drop silence so I can be scared out of my wits!). Her name is Olivia Chakraborty and she can be found on Instagram under the handle @_inkgonewild_ Details on who to contact to join my book club are also included.
So, this video deals with some books and their movie or TV series adaptations. I've spoken about around 11 odd books here after discussing with a few people and my father at length. This is one of my longest videos, not going to fool you, but I hope you stick around until the end of it.
I was invited to a housewarming party yesterday, where I met the most interesting Sumanta Basu, (or as he has bid me call him- Sumanta Da) and chatting with him opened a floodgate of memories of my own and it was a charming walk down memory lane with him and so this video speaks of that conversation.
Since the debut trailer for the Amazon series, "The Rings of Power" is out and since I find it to be a total travesty, here is a little video about a child who got lost in Middle-Earth and it is with the eagerness of a child that I have narrated it.
Ever since I was a young 'un, stories fascinated me and so sometime around 2020, I decided to celebrate the 10 year anniversary of my blog by activating a dormant YouTube channel where I initially started with narrating stories and then moved on to include poetry readings as well.
This is an exercise I did today to break out of a prolonged writer's block. It is very random, read it without looking for sense in it.
